The guy
in a tie
who punched the clock
in a reality
that traded freedom
for a salary
then traded the salary
for the box
he now lives in
wonders why
he said yes
to a disembodied paradigm
that disengaged him
from his body
his heart
his hopes
his dreams
his connection
to the source of his being
and the life
he would have lived
had he not let himself
be homogenized
by the corporate noose
that hung him
from the idea
that success
was found at the top
of a mountain
he never wanted
nor needed
to climb
Then one day
he just stopped listening
to the voices
coming at him
through his disconnected head
that kept telling him
to keep doing these things
he never wanted to do
and he took off the tie
unlaced his shiny shoes
removed his sweaty socks
and he put his translucent feet
in the grubby and dirty dirt
of mother earth
turned his pasty face
to the brilliant warmth
of the burning sun
and he felt the mitochondria
in his cells
spark the light
of his source
… and the blood flowed
to his pale face
and inspiration
to his dried up heart
And in that moment
he felt something
he hadn’t felt
since he first started listening
to the programmed god
that lived outside of him
and he realized
that the something
that turned on
inside of him
was something
that had never been turned off
only drowned out
by the artificial noise
of a world
being taken over
in a stealth war
no one knew they were fighting
and that something
he was finally noticing
again
was the vocal silence
of his own pure being
echoing the cry
of a knowing
he’d had all along
if only he stopped listening
to the waffle
of the world
caught in the iron grip
of the nonsense
that is slowly
but surely
dissolving itself
in the chaos
of a new world
birthing itself
in each and every step
taken
by the nature
of his own
sweet
sovereignty
What sovereignty???
you cry
The pure love
that is the power
of what you really are
and the only thing
you truly answer to
should you stop
giving away
the power of your human being
before you realize
how powerful
you actually are
So he hung up his tie
put his pasty feet
back in the grubby and dirty dirt
and said no to the lie

Bridget Hunter –
I first purchased a print of Unravelled by Carmel Boone, and the quality was absolutely top-level — rich, detailed, and beautifully produced. It held real presence in the room.
But the message — “when something finally comes all the way undone, something new is possible” — resonated so deeply with me that over time I realised I wanted something more personal. The piece stayed with me. It felt less like something I owned and more like something I was in conversation with.
So the print was traded with Heart for the original.
Seeing Unravelled in its original form carries an entirely different depth. There is a raw honesty in it — a quiet strength within the unraveling — that feels profoundly human. It doesn’t feel dramatic or sentimental; it feels true. Like the necessary moment where things fall apart just enough to allow something new to emerge.
The print was exceptional. The original, though, feels intimate. It holds an energy and presence that makes the experience of living with it deeply personal.
This is a piece that will remain significant in my life for a long time.

Oh how my eyes are leaking reading this incredibly touching reflection and experience of this work that has poured forth from the fire of my being to yours. You have profoundly captured and so intimately shared the way in which this work offers us each portals into realms of reality that only pure creativity can show us. I love that you too feel the conversation it imbibes and the gentle invitation to unravel into the something that is always seeking to emerge. So much love here x
