100 x 150cm of mixed media, mystery and magic unfurled on canvas. I had no intention of painting what turned out to look like people, but they just kept coming. One after another, they slowly emerged, one by one, through the layers of paint. They kept coming. I kept listening and responding, following the instructions unfurling from within, until I stood back and asked, “who and what do we have here?”
To which I heard the word, “Constellation.”
And what landed in that moment, which had been a challenging time for me emotionally, was that no mater what is going on in the worlds within me or around me, I am never alone, I am always supported, and there is always wisdom pouring in and through. This is the message this painting imparts for whomever’s wall it finds itself upon.
This painting reminds us that magic and mystery are everywhere, revealed and concealed in the layers of life and that no matter how hard it gets we are resourced beyond our cognition.
